Web 401k Customization Options

With Web 401k, we work with you to customize your 401k plan and its related self-service plan management and participation systems (called "Gateways") so everything optimally suits your company and its employees.

Below are your basic Web 401k plan customization options; contact us if you want free help with understanding any of your options and/or their typical effects on a 401k plan serving a company of your size. 401k Plan Customization Options:

-- Investment options

-- Employer matching, profit-sharing and/or qualified nonelective contribution formula(s), if any

-- 401k loan policy, if choosing to allow for 401k loans

401k Plan Management Customization Options:

-- Automatic enrollment investment and contribution standards, if opting to use automatic enrollment

-- 401k safe harbor contribution rates, if opting to run your 401k via the safe harbor method of plan administration

-- The plan year on which your plan will be run (short plan years OK, too)

-- The payroll cycle on which processing will be run

Gateway Customization Options:

-- The "look" of your Plan Sponsor Gateway and Plan Participant Gateway, including the web-safe palette of colors (perhaps to match your company website) and whether or not to include your company logo

-- The archival period (i.e., how long the system keeps data "live" before moving it to the "archived" fields)

-- Any minimum investment amounts or other investment restrictions to be applied (within those allowable by law)

We customize your Web 401k plan administration and participation centers with your customization choices; the system thereafter integrates all relevant aspects of your particular 401k plan into each of its administration and participation functions.

Any item you choose not to include within your 401k plan will be completely omitted from your customized plan administation and participation systems, not merely dimmed out or otherwise disabled yet visible. Thus, employees will never be left wondering why their 401k plan doesn't offer dimmed-out items (such as particular investments or 401k loans, for instance).
